Gene Martin had a great cup of coffee with the 1968 Washington Senators, in the heart of the second dead-ball era. He hit .364 and slugged .727.
Martin missed the 1966-1967 seasons due to military service. Hit 189 home runs during his Japanese career, averaging one every 13.56 at bats.
